Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 medium-sized potatoes (peeled and sliced)
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded, plus more for topping)

  • 1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy alternative)
  • Olive oil (to coat the potatoes)

  4. Layer the Potatoes and Onions: Grease the crockpot, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the sautéed onions, and sprinkle a third of the cheese.
  5. Pour the Creamy Mixture over the layers.
  6. Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients.
  7. Cook to Perfection: Cover and set on low for about 5 hours.
  8. Final Touches: Ensure potatoes are tender and broil for a crispy top if desired.
  9. Serve and Savor: Scoop portions and enjoy with your favorite side dishes.
