Magic Bars are a delightful one-pan dessert that transforms basic pantry staples into an indulgent treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. Evenly sprinkle sweetened coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and nuts (if using) atop the crumb layer.
  4. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over all ingredients.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  6. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a firmer texture, store in the fridge. Pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
